A man has been stabbed in the stomach while walking through Clacton on the evening of Christmas Day.

The victim, who’s in his 40s, was approached at random by the attacker while walking along Valley Road – near Valley Farm Caravan Park – between 8.45pm and 9pm.

The male attacker insulted the victim then stabbed him, leaving him seriously injured.

Essex Police have now launched an appeal for witnesses, encouraging anyone with information to call Clacton CID on 101 and quote crime reference number 42/202686/19.
