Police dog Leo puts his best paw forward for his first shift as a new recruit with Essex Police

Essex Police’s newest canine recruit has completed his first operational paw patrol.

German Shepherd Leo graduated from puppy training school to take the lead on his first shift with his handler Pc Dave Bridge – ready to collar any criminals up to no good!

He said: “We met lots of people and I also made sure he was exposed to different experiences while we were out on patrol, to continue getting him used to crowds and noise, which includes the sound of my car’s siren.
